ĐURIŠIĆ MVP, MARKOVIĆ IN THE BEST FIVE OF ADIDAS EUROCAMP IN TREVISO
Mega MIS received another recognition for their work with young players, marked by the notable participation of five young basketball players at the prestigious Adidas Eurocamp in Treviso. From June 1 to 3, Mega was represented by Nikola Đurišić, Bogoljub Marković, Urban Kroflič, Jack Kayil, and Abdramane Siby at this summit of the world’s top talents. Kayil, Kroflič, and Siby played for the Next Gen team, Đurišić was part of Eurocamp 1, and Marković was on the Eurocamp 2 team.
This year’s Adidas Eurocamp lasted three days, and Mega MIS player Nikola Đurišić was chosen as the MVP, while another Mega player, Bogoljub Marković, was selected for the Eurocamp’s Best Five.
The 17th edition of Adidas Eurocamp in Treviso was graced by the presence of three former Mega MIS players who are now NBA stars: Vasilije Micić, Nikola Jović, and Ivica Zubac, alongside a major star of the world’s best basketball league, James Harden.
On the first day of Eurocamp, Bogoljub Marković recorded nine points and two rebounds in less than 10 minutes in a 104-80 victory over the World Team, and in an 81-95 triumph over the 3SSB team, he was the best player with 21 points and seven rebounds. The three Mega players in the Next Gen team also played on the first day, defeating the USA Team 81-108. Abdramane Siby was among the most prominent, scoring 11 points and grabbing six rebounds in 16 minutes; Jack Kayil had five points, seven rebounds, and four assists, while Urban Kroflič scored four points and grabbed five rebounds.
On the second day, Nikola Đurišić particularly stood out, recording 12 points, five assists, and four rebounds in 15 minutes in Team Eurocamp 1’s 70-117 victory over Team USA and in an 85-73 win over the Next Gen team, he scored 18 points and handed out six assists. In the losing team of the latter game, Jack Kayil and Urban Kroflič scored 10 points, while Abdramane Siby did not score but collected six rebounds, along with two steals and two assists.
On the third day of Eurocamp, Đurišić and Marković faced off in a matchup between the Eurocamp 1 and Eurocamp 2 teams, with Đurišić’s team narrowly winning 72-71. Đurišić recorded five points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals in the victory, while Marković had seven points, nine rebounds, and four blocks for the losing team.
In the Next Gen team’s 103-78 victory over the 3SSB team, Kayil recorded eight points, five rebounds, and four assists, Kroflič scored four points, and Siby had three points, seven rebounds, and two blocks.
