MEGA MIS FACES IGOKEA IN THE FINAL ROUND OF THE ABA LEAGUE, BARAĆ: “WE WILL NEED A LOT OF ENERGY”

The Mega MIS basketball team will visit Igokea in Laktaši for the final, 26th round of the ABA League. The match is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, at 17:00 and will be live-covered on TV Arena Sport.

Coach of Mega MIS, Marko Barać, shared his expectations ahead of the clash with another team that secured a playoff spot:

“We’re heading to Laktaši for a match against a team that rightfully belongs in the playoffs. With the addition of Filipović at point guard, they stabilized their roster and have been playing well lately. We aim to continue playing the right way and focus on our tasks. It will require a lot of energy from us to put ourselves in a position to win this tough away game,” said Barać.

Mega MIS player Filip Jović also expressed great respect for the upcoming opponent:

“We’re expecting a tough match away from home. Igokea is a solid and quality team that will definitely want to win. We’ve had good training sessions this week; now, it’s up to us to transfer that onto the court and give our all to secure a victory in this challenging away game,” added Jović.

Mega MIS enters the final round in fourth place on the table with a record of 15-10, while Igokea sits in seventh place with a 13-12 record. A triumph would allow Marko Barać’s team to maintain the position that grants home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

In the first part of the season, Mega MIS convincingly triumphed at home over Igokea (92:76), thus securing their 13th victory in head-to-head matchups (leading 13-8).
