MEGA MIS DOMINATES MORNAR, CELEBRATES WITH A 34-POINT ADVANTAGE IN BAR

Mega MIS basketball players secured their fourth victory in the ABA League, defeating Mornar convincingly 99-65 in the seventh round (16-23, 24-23, 6-23, 19-30). Under the guidance of coach Marko Barać, Mega MIS opened the game strongly, leading with a double-digit difference already in the first quarter. The home team held on well until halftime. However, Mega’s brilliant performance in the third quarter, allowing only six points to the opponent, gave them a substantial lead, ultimately securing the match. Mega finished the job smoothly in the last 10 minutes, improving their record to 4-3, while Mornar suffered their sixth loss (1-6).

Uroš Plavšić had an outstanding game, recording a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds for a PIR of 30. He was followed by Nikola Topić with 17 points and seven assists (PIR 24), and Andrija Jelavić with a double-double of 13 points and rebounds each (PIR 22). Oleksandr Kobzystyi also reached double digits, scoring all 11 points in the final quarter in just over four minutes of play.

For Mornar, Jacobi Boykins was the top scorer with 16 points, while Nemanja Vranješ contributed 12 points.

Mega started the game excellently and led 13-4 after five minutes of play. Although the hosts briefly reacted, Đurišić’s free throws and a three-pointer from Ilyasoglu extended Mega’s lead to 20-7. However, Mornar managed to rally with a 9-3 run to end the quarter. Miljenović opened the second half with two consecutive three-pointers, allowing Mega to pull away again. Despite Mornar’s efforts to close the gap, Topić and Plavšić ensured Mega went into halftime with a six-point lead (46-40).

Plavšić dominated in the offense, and Mega’s team displayed excellent teamwork on defense. Mornar struggled to score, and with contributions from Jelavić and Topić, Mega extended their lead. Mega went into the final break with a commanding 69-46 advantage. The outcome was clear in Topolica, as Mornar tried to narrow the gap, but Mega maintained their lead, with Kobzistij playing a key role in the final minutes, securing a well-deserved victory on the road.
