NIKOLA TOPIĆ ON LOAN AT MEGA MIS UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON

Nikola Topić, the gold medalist with the Serbian U18 National Team at the European Championship in Niš, is the latest addition to Mega MIS. The talented point guard will join Marko Barać’s team as a loaned player from Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Topić emerged from the Novi Sad club Defense ranks, and in early 2020, he signed a multi-year scholarship contract with Red Star. During the 2021/22 season, he began training with the senior team and officially debuted for the senior squad in March 2022.

In the past season, he was the standout player in the junior EuroLeague qualifying tournament in Belgrade, and he was also a member of the All-Tournament Team at the final event in Kaunas. During the latter part of the previous competitive year, he also played for OKK Beograd, averaging 18.1 points and 4.8 assists in the Basketball League of Serbia, as well as 17.2 points and 6.3 assists in the Super League.

At the end of July, while representing the Serbian national team, he won the European Championship in Niš along with three other young players from Mega MIS: Bogoljub Marković, Filip Jović, and Andrej Mušicki. He was honored as the MVP of the continental junior competition and, alongside Marković, was included in the All-Tournament Team. Over seven appearances, he averaged 15.3 points and 5.1 assists.

Nikola, welcome!
