U15 BANJICA MEGA DEFEATED PARTIZAN IN THE BATTLE FOR THIRD PLACE IN THE F8 TOURNAMENT OF THE PIONEER LEAGUE OF SERBIA
After overtime and incredible drama, the pioneers of Banjica Mega failed to qualify for the finals of the F8 tournament of the Pioneer League of Serbia. Still, in the end, why they were better than Partizan in the match for third place in the Basket City Sports Hall, 84:94 (28:25, 23: 24, 13:22, 20:23). After the ups and downs in the opening 20 minutes, Dejan Pejić’s team met the big break with a two-point deficit. They were eight points behind after a few minutes of play in the third quarter. However, they achieved a turnaround and a seven-point surplus before the last break, then controlled the game in the decisive part and deservedly reached the triumph.
Once again, Vuk Danilović was the most efficient with 27 points, but the most useful was Ilija Radonjić, who spent all 40 minutes on the court. During that time, he recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, which brought him a PIR of 30. Aleksa Stiković was a step behind Danilović with 26 points but with eight rebounds and five assists for a PIR of 25.
Mladost won the title after defeating Zemun in the final with 68:89. With a total of 89 points, Vuk Danilović shared the award for the best scorer of the tournament with Mihailo Sušić from Mladost, who was also the MVP of the tournament.
The pioneers of Banjica Mega finished their participation in the final tournament of the Pioneer League in third place, and this season they won the Mini Cup in Nis.
