In the match of the 18th round of the ABA League, which was played in Zeleznik, Mega Mozzart celebrated against FMP with 79:86 (13:25, 26:18, 15:22, 25:21). Coach Vladimir Jovanovic’s team came to victory, although without a few players, since they practically led the whole game and on several occasions denied the attacks of the home team and in the end made up for the defeat from the first part of the regional competition.

At the press conference after the game, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic pointed out that his team won in the end with a good attack and a good selection of shots:

– And in the announcement of the match, I said that the question of the winner will be resolved on the physical level. We started the match much better physically than the rival. The defense was at an enviable level, we ran well and we were quite good in jumping in attack. However, the game was played for 40 minutes and FMP managed to establish its game in parts of the second and third quarters. First of all, they kicked us out of the attack with their aggressive pressing. We played very short attacks, we did not manage to reach the flow of the ball, which slowed down our game. At the same time, we stopped being aggressive and combative in defense, which adorned us in the first part. The reason for that is that we are not ready enough because of this whole Covid situation, but with a little more rotation and frequent changes, we tried to get into the stable rhythm that we needed. We managed at one point to gain a more tangible advantage. However, first of all, due to their persistence in the jump in the attack and our mistakes, which they expertly used with a good shot for three points, we received three three-pointers and they returned the match to equal. But, in the end, we managed to win with a good attack and a good selection of shots. I would like to congratulate FMP on the current part of the season and wish them a lot of success in the future. For us, this is a very important victory, we were not at an enviable level in the previous round, and that is why I congratulate my players, because they really left the last atom of strength on the court,
