MEGA VIZURA WAS DEFEATED FROM IGOKEA IN THE THIRD ROUND OF ABA LEAGUE

After three rounds of the ABA league Mega Vizura and Olimpija are the only teams that have not felt the sweetness of victory. Mega in the third round, in front of more than a thousand fans of basketball in the sports hall in Smederevo stumble in duel with Igokea. Team from Aleksandrovac used the experience of their players, but also a large number of errors of local players who, if it’s any consolation, in a duel with the champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina, provided perhaps the best game from beginning  the season.

Unfortunately, as time went on it became clear that the young team of Mega Vizura can not play at the same pace for 40 minutes. Of 25 minutes with the score 50-50, the last break  be left with less than 11 point advantage for the visitors – 67:56. This difference Pavkovic,  Jorovic, Stemberger, Gordic and other are saved with routine game in the last ten minutes of the game.

– I have to admit that our experience tonight come to the fore and it has greatly helped us win this very important game. Congratulations guys from the Mega Vizura fighting game and I wish them great success in the rest of the season. We do not have much time to rejoice because we are about to put the first round of Euro Cup and the match in Turkey – said after the game Miljan Pavkovic.

With sincere words of gratitude for the extraordinary hospitality of Belgrade and Smederevo, head coach Dragan Bajic  from Igokea stressed the importance of the match for both teams.  According to him, more pressure was on his team.

– There was a lot of nervousness after losing two starting though we played against strong rivals. The pressure on players was there, and I did not feel any easier. We did a great scouting because I respect you this young team of Mega  and colleague Dejan Milojevic. Knowing that the biggest drawback of the lack of experience I expected volatility inherent in the youth teams. We have to skillfully use the middle of the third quarter and the game calmly and wisely finalize.

For  Vaslije Micic, with no doubt, the reason for the defeat of the unexplained drop in concentration in the third quarter.

– It does not happen to us the first time you play a bad third period of the game. I think our desire in the second half, missed most. We played a good first half when we missed the opportunity to make a bigger difference. Igokea deserved victory.

For  Dejan Milojevic play in defense is the main reason for the defeat of the game.

– We have received 90 points. My players  do not currently think about the defense, everyone looks to be that the basket. We’ll have to fix it as soon as possible because this is it. We have a lot of space for improvement but it seems that a lot of players do not realize the gravity of this league. We will have to give more than our  possibilities if we can beat anyone. We may not have the quality but we need to show a desire to win.

Next opponent in the fourth round for Mega Vizura will be Krka from  Novo Mesto. Slovenian representative in the previous three games and recorded two wins, one loss and will be a formidable opponent for  Dejan Milojevic`s boys. The match took place on  October 19 at 7 PM in the Sports hall in Smederevo.
