Coach of Mega Bemax Dejan Milojevic pointed out that the victory against Krka would mean for the confidence of the team ahead of the Radivoj Korac Cup in Nis:
– We are hosting Krka on Friday, to which every match to the end of the league is crucial in the struggle to avoid relegation and it is certain that they will do their best to beat us in Sremska Mitrovica. With the game we showed last week against Zadar, we cannot beat any team in the league, and I believe that my team will show a reaction, primarily in the energy on the field and then in the aggressiveness in the defense. If we impose our rhythm and we manage to control rebounds, I believe that we can achieve win that would mean us in the field of self-confidence in front of the Radivoj Korac Cup which is expecting in Nis,
Milojevic said.
After 18 rounds of the ABA league, Mega Bemax is 5th with a score of 9-9, while Krka recorded 5 wins. Mega and Krka have so far met 9 times in the ABA league with score 5-4 for Mega. In the last match of the two teams played in the 8th round of this season, Krka celebrated in Novo Mesto with 82:69.
Guard of Mega Bemax Andrija Marjanovic pointed out that energy and defense are the key for victory against Krka:
– The match against Krka is very important for us, because we have to return the rhythm from the first part of the ABA league and to start again winning streak. I think everything is on us, and if at first energy and defense are at a high level, we can win in this match. We are young and we have to do our best in every game. I believe in my teammates and I think we will just show what we can,
said Marjanovic.
