MILOJEVIC: “WE PLAYED QUALITY MATCH AGAINST SPARTAK WITH GREAT REBOUNDING”

Players of Mega Leks defeated Spartak with 93:68 within the 13th round of Mozzart Super League.

Great game in win of Mega has provided has provided Kostja Mushidi with 22 points and 10 rebounds. At the press conference he pointed out that this victory important for the confidence of the team before the next duels:

– This was a good match for us, very important for confidence before the clash with Partizan. We have fulfilled the tasks that the coach has set before us and that is why we are pleased,

said Mushidi.

Coach of Mega Leks Dejan Milojevic pointed out that the rebound of Mega was outstanding in the game:

– I am pleased with the game, we played well. A three point shot was not good, but the rebound was remarkable. Also, we had a controlled number of turnovers, only 10 which is great for our quick game we are forcing. We have achieved even 93 points despite very poor realization of free throws and the percentage of three point shot. But it says that we played well in defense and that we give a lot two pointers I am glad because of that information, which means that my team reacted well to not shooting it as commendable for such a young team. Ahead of us is a duel with Partizan, who we will play with no load. We have not managed to beat them in the competition duel this season, so I hope that we will succeed this time,

said Milojevic.

The most efficient in the ranks of Spartak was Ivan Jelenic with 19 points, who is after the match said that the team had empty minutes because of small rotation:

– The major part of the match we played the way we agreed – strong. We wish to end participation in the Super League in the right way and so we  tried to be an equal rival and I think we have succeeded. However, we had empty minutes that happen to us because of fatigue and less rotation, but Mega is young and enthusiastic team who knew how to take advantage,

Jelenic said.

The coach of Spartak Aleksandar Joncevski pointed out that the Mega deservedly won:

– Congratulations to Mega Leks on deserved win. However, I think the difference in my opinion is not a realistic picture of what was happening on the ground. Anyway, Mega’s players deserved victory, they even had 20 offensive rebounds and in this segment we could not be competitive. We tried to compete with their zone defense, with risking some shots. It was worth it, because they had only 20 percent of realization for the three points, but they all corrected it with rebounds. It remains our last match against Vrsac where we with eventual victory could avoid last place and show that we deserve to play Super League and not to disappoint the local fans,

said Joncevski.
