MILOJEVIC: “I AM SATISFIED WITH THE TEAM EFFORT”

Players of Mega Leks particularly in the first half played great defense in Strasbourg but in the end, host started hitting shots and in the fourth quarter resolved the game in their favor for the final score 68:59.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega Leks was former player of Strasbourg Kostja Mushidi with 13 points. At a press conference Mushidi singled out good first half of Mega:

– Of course we are disappointed because we lost the game. We played a good first half, limiting the Strasbourg to just 27 points. Unfortunately, in the second half we did not play with the intensity that is required to obtain this match. Bottom line, team work was at a good level and we can continue to work and progress,

said Mushidi.

Coach Dejan Milojevic after the match was satisfied with efforts of his players:

– I would like to congratulate Strasbourg deserved victory and I think we forced them to invest great effort in order to reach win. We are the youngest team in Europe, our oldest player in the roster is 23 years old. I’m trying to teach players to do their best against any team and that no one impress them. Strasbourg is a Euroleague team with a great coach. I’m really pleased with the effort that we put forth to the game we played. I am never satisfied with a defeat but I think we showed great potential and that some of our players are on the way to become great one day,

Milojevic said and continued:

– Strasbourg plays basketball at the highest level and through the game with them we are proving ourselves also. I believe that my team through this European matches will get better and better. This is our fourth defeat but in last two we had shots for the win. Sure, we still have a chance and I also teach my players never to give up. Our goal is to qualify for the second phase and we will see what will happen next.

Asked by a French journalist whether this team will stay together, Milojevic said:

– This is my fifth year in Mega and policy of the club is that every year we change a lot of players but I am especially proud because three players went to the NBA straight from Mega, and we have six players in the NBA draft. We are an interesting team to many and foreign talents are coming to us to try to become great players. You are in France, you have a lot of good teams and they (Alpha Kaba and Kostja Mushidi) have chosen to come to Serbia, to Mega of which I am a particularly proud,
