MILOJEVIC: “WE HAVE TO FOCUS ON DEFENSE”

Players of Mega Leks showed much weaker play in the second game of the series for the 3rd place against FMP as the home team won with 89:83.

Captain of Mega Leks Rade Zagorac pointed out that Mega lacked energy in the game:

“Congratulations to FMP deserved to win. We have teams of similar quality where, when we have no energy in the game, we will lose. We have to improve the game for the next match at our ground”,

Zagorac said.

Coach of Mega Leks Dejan Milojevic was primarily dissatisfied with the game in defense:

“Congratulations to FMP on win, they were better tonight with greater energy. Today we didn’t play the way we can get the win. We played a very poor defense, received 51 points at the halftime. From the start we gave them enough space to run and to gain self-confidence. This is not the way in which we can win a weaker teams than FMP. This victory is not so much a surprise, I respect what they do. To reach our goal and a place in the ABA league, we need to think about defense and not to focus only on the attack as players were doing today. We have to learn lessons, result is 1:1, there is still plenty to play”,

said coach of Mega. At the conclusion of journalists that in attack were only 4 players in the mood in Mega, Milojevic said:

“Mega this year when plays good defense, it is no matter how many players are in mood in the attack. This match defensive was very bad. FMP had 9 rebounds more. Today we didn’t play aggressively right so this is why didn’t come to fore our physical fitness and athleticism that we have”,
