DECIMATED MEGA CELEBRATED IN NIKSIC

Players from Mega Leks have played an extremely exciting match against Sutjeska in Niksic since in the front of full stands defeated the home team with 68:73 (13:19, 19:15, 18:18, 18:21) within the 21st round of ABA league. For Mega in this match due to injuries didn’t play Aleksandar Aranitovic and Milenko Veljkovic.

Dejan Milojevic started the match with the following five: Jaramaz, Luwawu-Cabarrot, Simeunovic, Nikolic and Jankovic. Start the match was marked by Jankovic, who tied 5 points with a good defense and after the three from Luwawu, the result was 2:8. Sutjeska strikes after the break but after the jump shot and the points from the free throw line, Zagorac managed to keep the lead of Mega and the result at the end of the first quarter was 13:19.

Sutjeska opens the second quarter with two triples for equalization 19:19. Milojevic called a time-out after which Mega with great defense had  0:7 series after an elegant lay-up of Luwawu. Mega comes to plus 8 (20:28) but then completely stops the attack. Problems with personal fouls hold Ivanovic and Nikolic out of the game. Mega with agood defense didn’t allow home team to take the lead. Simeunovic interrupted bad series of Mega Leks in the attack and the result at the halftime was 32:34.

Ivanovic opens second half with flouter and after points form Jankovic, Mega comes to plus 6, 34:40. This was followed by a series of errors and Sutjeska managed to equalize to 42:42, but Kaba and Ivanovic returned advantage to Mega. Sutjeska managed to take the lead briefly in 27. minute with 48:47 and a quarter was complete with tough lay-up from Jaramaz for 50:52.

Sutjeska better opens the last period and the three from Rush reaches 57:54. Luwawu-Cabarot wakes up and reaches a triple and then made both free throws. Because of the 5 personal fouls Nikolic, Ivanovic and Simeunovic started coming out of the game but Mega didn’t give up. Luwawu-Cabarrot continues his series of points and probably the key moment was the block from Kaba in the last minute when the score was 68:70, after which Mega with free throws came to victory.

After 21 rounds, Mega has a record of 14 wins and 7 losses and currently holds fourth position in the standings, while Sutjeska has a record of 7 wins and 14 losses. In the next round on January 31st, Mega Leks welcomes Cedevita.
