Mega Superbet basketball team secured another crucial victory in the final stretch of the ABA League regular season. In Round 28, Marko Barać’s team triumphed over Cibona in Zagreb with a 88–83 win, claiming their fourth consecutive victory. Mega delivered a strong performance in the final quarter, completing a comeback to secure another precious win in the fight for a playoff spot. Mega Superbet now holds a 15–13 record, tied with Spartak, but sits in eighth place on the standings.

Mega Superbet head coach Marko Barać shared his thoughts at the post-game press conference:

– I want to congratulate my players for finding a way to win. We played against a team that has been together for a long time, knows each other well, and plays smart basketball. They caused us a lot of problems, especially in the first half. The fact is, we didn’t defend their best shooters well enough, and that gave them confidence. In the second half, we made a change, playing much more aggressively, and we managed to create a lot of good opportunities for fast breaks, though we didn’t always convert them smartly. We relied too much on the three-point shot and lacked depth in our game, but as time went on, we managed to play smarter, find better positions, and take better shots. I congratulate the host on a good game, I know they’ve had injury problems. I wish them the best of luck moving forward,”

said Barać.

In the upcoming Round 29 of the ABA League, Mega Superbet will host SC Derby (Studentski centar). The game is scheduled for Monday, April 28, at 8:00 PM at Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall.
