BOGOLJUB MARKOVIĆ AND JOVANA POPOVIĆ WENT TO THE USA FOR THE NIKE HOOP SUMMIT

The stars of Mega Superbet, Bogoljub Marković and Jovana Popović, have traveled to the USA, where they will participate in the Nike Hup Summit on April 12, an event that traditionally gathers the greatest basketball talents from around the world each year.

It has long been known that Bogoljub and Jovana received an invitation to take part in this gathering of basketball gems from all over the world, which will be held this year in Portland. Their participation in this prestigious event is yet another confirmation of the excellent work with young players within the Mega Superbet system.

Bogoljub Marković joined Mega in 2021, and in his first season, he won three titles in younger categories. In the previous season (2023/24), he was again the junior champion of the ABA League and Serbia, made his debut for the senior team, and had impressive numbers in the junior EuroLeague and the domestic league.

At the start of the 2024/25 ABA League, he was named MVP for September and October. With the Serbian national team, he won the U18 European Championship in 2023, and in November 2024, he debuted for the senior team against Denmark in the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers.

Jovana Popović was born in 2007, and last year, she won a bronze medal with the Serbian junior national team at the European Championship. She had previously been the MVP of the domestic league, where she led Mega to their first Serbian championship title. With Jovana in their lineup, “the artists” also won the “Milan Ciga Vasojević” Cup.

Interestingly, Marković is the 16th Serbian basketball player who will be part of the World Team that will face the best young players from the USA, and the third from Mega. Before him, Nikola Jokić and Kostja Mušidi participated in the Nike Hup Summit, as well as Mega’s current general manager, Goran Ćakić.

The list is completed by: Jovo Stanojević, Igor Rakočević, Vladimir Radmanović, Luka Bogdanović, Dragan Labović, Milenko Tepić, Boban Marjanović, Milan Mačvan, Dejan Musli, Aleksandar Cvetković, Stefan Peno, Boriša Simanić, and Marko Pecarski.
