MEGA SUPERBET TRIUMPHS AFTER BIG COMEBACK IN ČAČAK

Mega Superbet basketball players recorded another ABA League victory, as they defeated Borac Mozzart on the road in Čačak in Round 26 after a comeback, with a final score of 80:76 (26:26, 17:24, 17:18, 20:8). Marko Barać’s team dropped the second quarter by seven points after an even first quarter, and then fell into a double-digit deficit during the third. They managed to reduce it to single digits only in the final moments of the period. Then, midway through the decisive fourth quarter, came the big comeback that led to a thrilling finish. Borac briefly regained the lead, but Mega responded with a 7:0 run to take control again and seal the win. With this result, Mega Superbet improves to 13–13 and takes another step toward the playoffs, while Borac now stands at 8–18.

Bogoljub Marković led Mega Superbet with 15 points (6 rebounds, PIR 18), Filip Jović followed with 14, while Mihailo Petrović recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 assists, just three rebounds shy of a triple-double (PIR 18). Timotej Malovec and Stefan Miljenović also scored in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

For Borac, Paulius Valinskas was the top scorer with 20 points, Diante Baldwin had 15, and Stefan Fundić added 14 points.

The game was a tough battle from the start. The lead changed hands several times, and Mega pulled ahead by two possessions after a three-pointer from Milijašević midway through the first quarter. However, Borac responded and the first break ended in a tie (26:26). At the beginning of the second quarter, the hosts managed to pull away and fended off Mega’s efforts to regain the lead, building an eight-point advantage entering the final two minutes of the first half. After 20 minutes of play, Borac led 50:43.

Early in the third, Borac extended their lead to double digits again. Mega tried everything to reduce the deficit, and a late three-pointer from Milijašević brought it back to single digits, with the score at 68:60 going into the final 10 minutes.

Mega kept chipping away and cut the deficit to just one point within five minutes. Then, a basket by Jelavić gave them the lead with 4:50 left. Marković extended the lead to 73:70, but Borac responded with a 6:0 run to reclaim the advantage. Petrović hit a deep shot to tie it up again, and then Miljenović gave Mega the lead after grabbing an offensive rebound and sinking two free throws. Kajil added more points from the line, Borac failed to convert their next possession, and Mega Superbet came away with the win.
