BARAĆ: “WE ENTERED THE GAME THE RIGHT WAY, CONTROLLED THE ACTIONS THE WHOLE TIME, AND IT ENDED IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY”
Mega Superbet basketball players triumphed in the quarterfinals of the Radivoj Korać Cup, defeating Dunav from Stari Banovci 89-48 (22:9, 25:14, 22:10, 20:14) in Niš at the Čair Hall. Under the leadership of coach Marko Barać, the team started the game strong and steadily increased their lead. By the second quarter, they were ahead by 20 points, and by the middle of the third, they had a 30-point advantage, making it clear they would advance to the semifinals. They finished the job without issue, setting up a semifinal clash with Partizan.
Coach Marko Barać shared his thoughts at the post-game press conference:
“I congratulate the players and the coaching staff for the seriousness they showed. We entered the game the right way, controlled the game the whole time, and it ended in the best possible way. I also congratulate my colleague Ašćerić and Dunav for reaching this tournament. They deserved to be here, and I wish them the best of luck moving forward. We finished the job as we should, but now it’s late, and we have a lot of work to do to get ready for tomorrow.”
He also looked ahead to the semifinal match against Partizan:
“We all know what kind of team Partizan is. They certainly have the highest ambitions, as always, but my players have shown they can play with anyone, and it’s up to us to prove that tomorrow,” concluded Marko Barać.
Mega Superbet will play their semifinal match against Partizan on Friday, February 14, at 8:00 PM at the Čair Hall.
