MEGA SUPERBET IN THE OPENING OF THE RADIVOJ KORAĆ CUP AGAINST DUNAV, BARAĆ: “THE CUP HAS A SPECIAL APPEAL, WE WANT TO PLAY GOOD BASKETBALL WITH A LOT OF ENERGY AND FOCUS”

The Mega Superbet basketball team will compete in the Radivoj Korać Cup from February 12 to 15 at the Čair Sports Hall in Niš. Marko Barać’s team will face the team from Dunav Stari Banovci in the quarterfinals, with the game scheduled for Thursday, February 13, at 20:45.

Mega Superbet’s head coach, Marko Barać, shared his expectations ahead of the tournament in Niš.

“The Cup is a competition that has a special appeal because it gives everyone a chance. Dunav earned their spot in the final tournament with excellent results in the first phase of the competition, and they have our full respect. We want to play good basketball, with a lot of energy and concentration,” said Barać.

He will have the following roster at his disposal: Kosta Kondić, Aleksa Milenković, Stefan Miljenović, Andrija Jelavić, Marko Vukčević, Bogoljub Marković, Ognjen Nikolić, Sergej Macura, Ilija Milijašević, Mihailo Milutinović, Filip Jović, Dušan Tanasković, Mihailo Petrović, and Timotej Malovec.

Mega Superbet’s top scorer in the ABA league, Kosta Kondić, emphasizes that the Radivoj Korać Cup winner from the second division, Dunav, should be taken seriously.

“We open the Cup against Dunav, who may not be the favorite on paper, but we need to take them seriously in order to start the tournament the way we want. We’ve trained well and prepared for the Cup. We’re taking it one game at a time, not looking too far ahead. Of course, the goal is as many wins as possible,” added Kondić.

Mega Superbet basketball players have reached the final of the Radivoj Korać Cup five times, winning the trophy in 2016.
