BARAĆ: “WE SHOWED CHARACTER AND FOUGHT UNTIL THE END”

Mega Superbet’s basketball team welcomed Partizan Mozzart Bet at Aleksandar Nikolić Hall at the start of 2025, and after 45 minutes of intense battle, they lost 90-100 in the 15th round of the ABA League (27:20, 21:21, 15:19, 19:22, 8:18). Marko Barać’s team played an excellent game, leading for most of the match. They even had a double-digit lead in the third quarter, but a major turnaround came in the fourth. However, Mega erased an eight-point deficit in the final moments, with a three-pointer by Aleksa Radanov securing overtime. They gave their all in the extra five minutes, but the more experienced opponent secured the win with three-pointers. Mega Superbet is now 8-7 at the halfway point of the league season, sitting in eighth place, while Partizan is tied for first with a 13-2 record.

After the game, Mega Superbet’s coach Marko Barać shared his thoughts at the press conference:

I congratulate the players of both teams, I think it was a good game. Partizan is a team that is, above all, perfect athletically and physically, and that composition of their team is the least favorable for our young players. I think we played a really solid game, and more than that. We controlled the first half, tried to learn from some of Partizan’s previous games and their opponents, analyzing what should not be done against them. A great first half for us, and then some lineup changes. On the other side, there are players capable of defending all positions on the court. They stopped our ball movement at one point. We showed character, fought until the very end. I congratulate Partizan on their win. Besides the fact that it was a good game, the atmosphere was great as well. Personally, I enjoyed it. I wish everyone a happy Banji day and a Merry Christmas,” Brać said.

Mega Superbet will host Krka in the next 16th round of the ABA League, with the match scheduled for Sunday, January 12th, at 12:00.
