DOMINANT WIN FOR MEGA MIS, CIBONA DEFEATED BY 30 POINTS

Mega MIS secured another ABA League victory in the 13th round, defeating Cibona at the Dejan Milojević Training Center with a score of 88:58 (18:15, 22:11, 25:18, 23:14). After an evenly matched first quarter, Marko Barać’s team took control in the second period, building a solid lead by halftime. Mega continued their impressive performance after the break, entering the final quarter with a 21-point advantage, which they further extended by the end of the match. With this victory, Mega MIS improved to a 7-6 record, while Cibona fell to 2-11 after 13 games.

The top scorer for Mega MIS was Andrija Jelavić with 16 points and 10 rebounds, securing a double-double performance. However, the most valuable player was Jack Kyle, who scored 13 points, dished out 8 assists, and registered a PIR of 24. Filip Jović also contributed 13 points, while Kosta Kondić added 12 points.

For Cibona, no player managed to score in double digits, with Ivan Perasović leading their effort with 9 points.

Mega opened the game with five unanswered points. While Cibona briefly responded, Barać’s team pulled away to lead 16:8 with two and a half minutes left in the opening quarter. However, Cibona closed the gap, ending the first quarter with 18:15 on the scoreboard. Mega wasn’t discouraged and quickly built their first double-digit lead in the second period. They maintained and expanded their advantage, with Milijašević’s three-pointer in the final minute of the half setting the score at 40:26.

The second half saw Mega MIS continue their strong performance, with the lead surpassing 20 points just five minutes into the third quarter. By the final break, the score stood at 65:44. Cibona couldn’t mount a meaningful comeback in the last period, and Mega further extended their lead to secure a convincing victory.

In the 14th round of the ABA League, Mega MIS will visit Studentski Centar in Podgorica on Saturday, December 28th, at 5:00 PM.
