MEGA MIS VS CIBONA, BARAĆ: “A WIN WOULD BE THE BEST REMEDY”
In the 13th round of the ABA League, Mega MIS will host Cibona at the Dejan Milojević Training Center. The match is scheduled for Friday, December 20th, at 6:00 PM, with free admission. The game will also mark the celebration of World Basketball Day (December 21st), which will be officially commemorated for the first time this year.
Mega MIS head coach Marko Barać shared his expectations ahead of the clash with the team from Zagreb:
“We are facing a team that has significantly raised their level of play. Cibona has strengthened their roster with two centers, and now their squad is deep and very dangerous. Due to injuries and illnesses, we have been dealing with many issues in our training process, as well as in assembling the team for this game. For us, a victory in this match would be the best remedy,” said Barać.
Mega MIS player Andrija Jelavić highlighted the challenge ahead:
“Cibona is a physically strong team that has brought in several quality players, and their position on the table doesn’t reflect their true strength. A tough match awaits us, and it’s up to us to defend our home court with our best game and ultimately secure a victory,” added Jelavić.
Ahead of the match against the Zagreb team, Mega MIS holds a 6-6 record, while Cibona stands at 2-10. This will mark the 23rd encounter between these teams, with Mega having the edge with 14 wins, including an 8-3 home record.
We invite all fans who can attend to come and support Marko Barać’s team in another important regional competition match—the last home game of 2024.
