BARAĆ: “IMPORTANT WIN, WE ESTABLISHED A PACE THAT BORAC COULDN’T SUSTAIN”

The players of Mega MIS recorded their second consecutive victory in the ABA League, defeating Borac Mozzart 98:74 (26:25, 26:13, 24:19, 22:17) in the 11th round, following their win in Zadar. After a tied first quarter, the team led by Marko Barać pulled ahead in the second, reaching halftime with a double-digit lead. They continued their excellent performance in the second half, quickly extending their lead to over 20 points, and comfortably closed out the game in the final 10 minutes. With this victory, Mega MIS now has a 6-5 record, while Borac stands at 3-8.

Mega MIS head coach Marko Barać shared his thoughts in the post-game press conference:

I would like to congratulate my players on the victory. We knew how important this game was for us. We managed to create a certain balance between the pressure, which is natural in situations like this, and focusing on goals that are small and related to the game itself, meaning building the game over 40 minutes. We were able to establish a pace that we knew Borac would have trouble sustaining. They have certain injury problems, and it certainly wasn’t easy for them, unfortunately, we couldn’t finish healthy either, but I am confident that we will manage to maintain a good training process ahead of the next game, which is also very important. I am happy for the players, who confirmed the breakthrough in Zadar and this very important win. I wish Borac good luck in the remainder of the competition, and above all, good health,” said Barać.

In the next, 12th round of the ABA League, Mega MIS will visit Spartak in Subotica. The game in Dudova Šuma is scheduled for December 14th at 18:00.
