BARAĆ: “GREAT VICTORY, WE MUST CONTINUE TO WORK AND BE BETTER FROM WEEK TO WEEK”

The basketball players of Mega MIS started the new season in the ABA League with a victory against Krka on the road, winning 70:80 (19:16, 14:23, 16:18, 21:23). Marko Barać’s team took control in the third quarter, pulled away in the fourth, and ultimately deservedly achieved victory at the Leon Štukelj Hall for a successful start to the 2024/25 season.

Coach Marko Barać shared his impressions after the triumph:

“It was a tough game, as we expected. Krka made selections that they believe will yield better results compared to last year, and that was evident during the preparation period, where they played very well and have a lot of players with individual quality. This is truly a great victory for us. I congratulate my players, not only because we are a completely new team, but there is always uncertainty about how the team will react at the beginning of the season, especially since we have a large number of debutants. There was a certain tension in our game; we felt the stress. Throughout the week, we prepared for such a scenario and had a rough idea of how it would look. There was an agreement to try to perform well defensively to win in that manner. I am extremely satisfied that it turned out this way. I wish the hosts much luck in the continuation, and we must continue to work well and be better from week to week,” said Barać.

In the second round of the ABA League, the players of Mega MIS will host FMP, with the match scheduled for Sunday, September 29, at 12:00.
