SERGEJ MACURA IS THE NEW BASKETBALL PLAYER FOR MEGA MIS

Basketball club Mega MIS has signed a new reinforcement for the 2024/25 season, as Slovenian basketball player Sergej Macura has inked a contract with the club.

Macura plays as forward and power forward, he joins Mega MIS from Ilirija, and his brother Jurij played for Mega in the 2019/20 season.

After three years with Baskonia’s B team, Sergej Macura transferred to Ilirija last summer. In the Slovenian league, he averaged 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, while in the Alpe Adria Cup, he averaged 17.2 points and 5.8 rebounds.

He has also represented Slovenia in youth categories, playing in the U18 European Challenger in 2021 and the U19 World Championship last year, where he averaged 12.4 points and seven rebounds in seven appearances.
