OGNJEN SRZENTIĆ AND PAVLE BAČKO SELECTED FOR THE ALL-STAR TEAM AT THE “BASKETBALL WITHOUT BORDERS” CAMP

Young basketball players from Mega MIS, Ognjen Srzentić and Pavle Bačko, participated in Malaga’s “Basketball Without Borders” camp from May 31 to June 3. Srzentić and Bačko performed very well in Malaga, leading to their selection for the camp’s All-Star team.

The talented Mega MIS basketball players were thus rewarded for their good performances in the season where they played for the cadet and junior teams. Both were part of the team that won the Roda Junior League of Serbia. Srzentić also won the U19 ABA League, and both participated in the final ANGT tournament of the junior Euroleague in Berlin.

At the 21st European edition of the Basketball Without Borders camp, they were among 60 of the most talented peers in both male and female categories and had the opportunity to learn from current and former NBA and WNBA players and coaches, including Utah Jazz’s Collin Sexton, San Antonio Spurs’ Devonte Graham, and Golden State Warriors assistant coach Kenny Atkinson.

Basketball Without Borders, as well as the NBA and FIBA global development and community engagement program, have brought together more than 4,300 participants from 140 countries since 2001. 119 camp participants went on to careers in the NBA or WNBA. To date, 74 camps have been held in 49 cities and 33 countries across six continents.

Last year, Bogoljub Marković participated in the Basketball Without Borders camp in Salt Lake City. This summer, Urban Kroflič was part of the European camp, and in February, another mega talent, Abdramane Sibi, attended the camp in Indianapolis.
