A PERFECT SEASON CROWNED AS IT SHOULD BE: MEGA MIS JUNIORS SCORED 122 POINTS IN THE FINAL AGAINST CRVENA ZVEZDA AND DEFENDED THE SERBIAN CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE

The Mega MIS juniors are the winners of the national championship for the 2023/24 season! The chosen ones of Dragoljub Avramović convincingly defeated their peers from Crvena Zvezda in the final of the Roda Junior League of Serbia with 122:84 (32:17, 41:23, 30:29, 19:15), thus repeating the success from the previous year. They imposed their rhythm from the start and increased their lead minute by minute, already leading by 33 points at halftime. They maintained the advantage in the third quarter, where they reached a three-digit score, and comfortably finished the job in the decisive 10 minutes.

Filip Jović dominated under the hoops and ended the game with a double-double of 39 points and 10 rebounds, earning him the Most Valuable Player of the match with a PIR of 45. Bogoljub Marković followed closely with 22 points and 14 rebounds, which brought him 44 index points. Ognjen Srzentić also shone with 23 points (PIR 28), while Andrej Mušicki was on the verge of a double-double with 12 points and nine assists (PIR 17).

Ognjen Srzentić, from the ranks of Mega MIS, was declared the MVP of the F8 tournament, while the top scorer was Andrej Kostić from Crvena Zvezda.

After the final, individual awards were also presented for the regular part of the season, with three Mega MIS players making it to the ideal five: Abdramane Siby, Ognjen Nikolić, and Ognjen Srzentić. Alongside them, the best team also included Andrej Kostić from Crvena Zvezda and Aleksa Stanojević from Joker.

Young basketball player Abdramane Siby from Mega MIS was the MVP of the league part of the competition with a total PIR of 659, while the top scorer was Vuk Višnjić from Zemun Borac with 454 points scored.

This is the third title for the Mega MIS juniors, as they won the national championship in 2021 and 2023. This time they reached the top without a single defeat: three wins in the qualifiers, 22-0 in the league part, and three more triumphs in the Final Eight tournament – a total of 28-0.
