MEGA MIS HAS A CRUCIAL MATCH IN LJUBLJANA, BARAĆ: “DIFFERENT GAME, SAME APPROACH”
Basketball team Mega MIS has taken a significant lead in the quarterfinal series of the ABA League playoffs after defeating Cedevita Olimpija at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall with a record-breaking 119 points. The rematch is set to take place in Ljubljana, and if Marko Barać’s squad secures a victory, they will advance to the semifinals. The match at the Stožice Arena is scheduled for Monday, April 21, at 8:00 PM, with live coverage on TV Arena Sport.
Coach Marko Barać of Mega MIS shared his expectations ahead of the second match of the quarterfinal series against the Slovenian champions:
“We are anticipating a different game, but our approach must remain unchanged. We will be facing a highly motivated team. With some adjustments, we need a lot of energy and focus to put ourselves in a position to win and close out the series,” said Barać.
Captain Uroš Plavšić expressed hope that Mega MIS could finish the job on the road:
“We are ready to travel to Ljubljana. There’s no need to dwell on the quality of the team we’re facing, which boasts many talented and experienced players. It’s up to us to give our all and maintain maximum focus for the entire 40 minutes. We are highly motivated and hopeful for a positive outcome and advancement to the playoff semifinals,” added Plavšić.
Mega MIS has won three out of four matches against the Ljubljana team this season, including the victory at the beginning of the playoffs. In the event of a fourth victory, they will secure a spot in the playoff semifinals. However, if a deciding game is required, it will be played on Saturday, April 27, at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall.
