MEGA MIS WELCOMES MORNAR, BARAĆ: “THE POSITION ON THE TABLE DOESN’T REFLECT THEIR QUALITY”

Mega MIS basketball team is set to host Mornar-Barsko Zlato in the 20th round of the ABA League at the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall. The game is scheduled for Sunday at noon, with free entry, and tickets can be obtained from the sports hall’s ticket office starting at 11:00 am.

Heading into the 20th round of the regional competition, Mega MIS currently occupies the seventh position with a record of 9-10, while Mornar is at the bottom of the table with only four wins. However, Marko Barać holds great respect for the upcoming opponent:

“We are expecting a tough match against Mornar, a team that has strengthened with four players compared to the first part of the season. Their position on the table absolutely does not reflect their quality, as they have won three out of the last five matches. We need the toughest possible defensive effort to control their scorers and put ourselves in a position to secure a victory,” said Barać.

Mega MIS player Timotej Malovec is hopeful for a victory:

“A challenging home match is ahead of us, facing an offensively very talented team like Mornar. The goal is clear, to play the best we can throughout all 40 minutes and get back on the winning track,” added Malovec.

In the first part of the season, Mega MIS secured a convincing 65-99 victory on the road in Bar, marking their ninth triumph in 14 encounters with Mornar in the Adriatic region.
