DEJAN MILOJEVIC (1977-2024)
With great sadness that we received the news that the former coach of Mega, the former great basketball player and always a great man, Dejan Milojevic, died today at the age of 46 as a result of a heart attack he suffered on January 16 during a team dinner in Salt Lake City.
Dejan Milojevic was born on April 15, 1977 in Belgrade. During a great playing career full of trophies and numerous awards, he played for Beovuk, FMP, Budućnost, Partizan, Pamesa and Galatasaray, and with the national team he won a gold medal at the European Championship in 2001 in Turkey.
After the end of his playing career, in 2010 he became the sports director of Mega, and then in 2012 he took over the position of head coach. During the great eight years and 345 games that he spent on the bench of Mega, Radivoj Korac Cup was won in 2016 with many great victories and unforgettable moments, and he led a large number of basketball players set to the right path, among them the stars of European and world basketball.
After Mega, he was the coach of Buducnost, and from 2021 he was the assistant coach of the Golden State Warriors, with whom he was NBA Champion in 2022.
