MEGA MIS VISITS SC DERBY IN PODGORICA, BARAĆ: “EXTREMELY WELL-SELECTED TEAM, WE NEED HUGE ENERGY AND CONTROL OF REBOUNDS”

Mega MIS basketball team will be on the road to face SC Derby in the 10th round of the ABA League. The match at the Morača arena is scheduled for Monday, December 4, at 18:00, with live coverage on TV Arena Sport. This will be Mega MIS’s first game in specially designed pink-silver jerseys in celebration of the club’s 25th anniversary, which the team coached by Marko Barać will wear during December matches to mark this significant milestone.

Coach Marko Barać emphasizes that his team faces a challenging task:

“SC Derby is an extremely well-selected team, physically perfect at all positions. They combine experience and youth, representing a tough opponent for everyone. The change of coach has made our match preparation more challenging, and we will need to play with great focus to adapt during the game. Huge energy and control of rebounds are required for us to be in a position to win this tough away game,” said Barać.

Player Petar Kovačević notes that the team will need to perform well on both ends to secure another triumph:

“We are expecting a very demanding match against the SC Derby team. We know they are very good at home, so we must show good energy and concentration right from the start of the game. It is on us to demonstrate a high level of motivation, play with a lot of energy and concentration on both ends and try to achieve victory in this challenging away game. We have trained well in the past week, and now we need to transfer that to the court and play the best we can,” added Kovačević.

After nine rounds, both Mega MIS and SC Derby have the same record – 5-4. They have met four times in the ABA League, with Mega winning three times.
