BARAĆ: “WE DID OUR HOMEWORK AS WE SHOULD, SECOND HALF IS A LESSON FOR THE UPCOMING GAMES”

The basketball players of Mega MIS welcomed Zadar in the 6th round of the ABA League, and after 40 minutes of battle in the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall, they secured their third victory, 91:81 (26:17, 25:18, 15:26, 25:20). Coach Marko Barać shared his thoughts after the triumph:

I congratulate my players on the way they prepared for the game. It took a lot of daily focus to play the way we did in the first half. We responded to all the things that make Zadar a very tricky, atypical, and quality team, and as a result, the first half ended the way it did. We saw two different halves, Zadar is an experienced team that has been playing together for a long time and can practically play very well with their eyes closed. They changed their style of play both offensively and defensively in the second half. We did our homework as we should, but what happened in the second half should be a good lesson for the upcoming games. They increased their defensive aggressiveness, started doubling on the pick. Whether we didn’t have good angles, or whether we held onto the ball a bit longer, remains to be analyzed. I’m pleased that my young players, when Zadar got back into the game, found additional motivation and showed great unity to win the game. I congratulate Zadar on everything they’re doing, they have outstanding results in both competitions, I wish them luck going forward, and we’ll continue with hard work and hopefully good performances,” said Barać.

In the next round of the ABA League, Mega MIS will visit Mornar in Bar, with the match at the Topolica Sports Hall scheduled for Sunday, November 12, at 19:00.
