YOUNG BASKETBALL PLAYER FROM MEGA MIS, OGNJEN SRZENTIĆ, WITH THE U16 NATIONAL TEAM OF SERBIA AT THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN SKOPJE

The U16 National Team of Serbia will participate in the European Championship in Skopje from August 5th to 13th, and among the members of the team is the young basketball player from Mega MIS, Ognjen Srzentić.

Srzentić turned 16 in March, and in the previous season, he played for the cadet and junior teams of Mega and made his debut for the senior team.

Besides Srzentić, the Serbian team at the European Championship will consist of Đorđe Šekularac, Andrej Bjelić, Vasilije Stojić, Aleksandar Goljović, Filip Raičević, Vasilije Jovanović, Petar Radović, Stefan Marjanović, Daris Sijarić, Vuk Zelić, and Petar Ostojić.

The team is placed in Group D along with the teams of Latvia, Greece, and Poland. All teams advance to the next stage, and the group containing Serbia will cross paths with Group C in the round of 16, where teams from Germany, Israel, Spain, and Finland are positioned. The Serbian team will kick off the competition with a match against Greece on Saturday, August 5th, at 9:00 PM.

Mega MIS will have another representative at the European Championship in Skopje, as Ian Lazarevski will play for Slovenia.

The round of 16 is scheduled for August 9th, followed by quarterfinal matches and placement games on the next day. After a rest day, the semifinals are set for August 12th, with the medal matches and final standings games taking place on August 13th.
