The current average age of the team is 19.8 years, making Mega MIS once again the youngest team in the ABA league.
The coaching staff for the new season includes head coach Marko Barać, assistant coaches Miloš Mitrović, Branislav Božović, and Dejan Pejić, conditioning coach Pavle Tasić, physiotherapists Vanja Radojević and Miloš Savić, team doctor Dr. Uroš Stanković, and Novica Veličković as the team manager.
Coach Marko Barać emphasized, after the first training session of the new season, that they have assembled an exceptionally young and interesting team, promising an exciting and challenging season:
“Since the end of last season, we have been eagerly awaiting this day. We have put together an exceptionally young and interesting team, promising an exciting and challenging season. There is a lot of work ahead of us, and starting today, we will instill Mega’s culture into this new team. Until our departure to Greece in the second week of August, we will conduct our training sessions in our hall, where we have the best possible working conditions,”
said Marko Barać, who during the summer break was part of the coaching staff of the NBA champions Denver Nuggets in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Regarding that experience, Barać highlighted the following:
“As for my participation in the NBA Summer League, I strived to represent our profession in the best possible way. I encountered great hospitality and respect towards Serbian basketball and our club. There’s no need to say much about the organization and quality of work, considering it’s the current NBA champion.”
In the coming days, the club’s website will officially announce the schedule of friendly matches in the preparation period. It was previously announced that Mega MIS will travel to Mykonos, where they will play two games against the University of Southern California on August 9th and 11th, with Bronny James and DJ Rodman, the sons of NBA legends LeBron James and Dennis Rodman, being part of USC’s team.
Mega MIS will begin their 11th season in the ABA league with an away match against Cedevita Olimpija in Ljubljana.
