MEGA MIS IN NOVI SAD STARTS THE BATTLE IN THE SUPER LEAGUE OF SERBIA, BARAĆ: “VOJVODINA IS VERY EXPERIENCED, WE HAVE TO ADAPT, WITH GREAT ENERGY AND CONCENTRATION”

On Wednesday, May 3, from 7:00 p.m., Mega MIS basketball players begin the fight in the Serbian Super League, with a visit to the Vojvodina team in Novi Sad. The previous week, they were supposed to cross paths with Borac Mozzart in the premiere, but that meeting was postponed due to the obligations of the team from Čačak in the play-off for survival in the ABA league.

In the first stage of the competition, Marko Barać’s team will fight Borac as a representative from the ABA League, Vojvodina, and Metalac as the third and fourth-placed teams from the Basketball League of Serbia.

The head coach of the Mega MIS points out that his team has a difficult task ahead of them, because last Friday they had a difficult match in Podgorica in the quarterfinals of the regional competition, and the rematch against Budućnost is scheduled for Sunday in Sremska Mitrovica:

– Between the two playoff games of the ABA League, the start of the Super League awaits us. As a rule, such matches are very difficult. We are familiar with the qualities of Vojvodina. It is a very experienced team, which often changes defenses and widens the field with tall players. We have to adapt in the best possible way, with great energy and concentration,

said Barac.

Luka Paunović points out that the team does not lack motivation:

– We have a match with the Vojvodina team ahead of us, they are an extremely experienced team. As a very young team, we have to be focused and aggressive throughout the game. We are extremely motivated to start this year’s Serbian Super League with a victory,

added Paunović.

Only the winners of the groups from the current phase of the Super League will secure a place in the semi-finals, where they will meet Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet and Partizan Mozzart Bet. The semi-final series starts four days after the end of the final series of the ABA League, on June 8 or 9 at the latest, and will be played for two wins. The final is scheduled for June 16, also for two triumphs.
