MEGA MIS’ NIKOLA ĐURIŠIĆ VOTED FOR BEST YOUNG PLAYER OF THE ABA LEAGUE

Mega MIS basketball player Nikola Đurišić was chosen as the best young player of the ABA League in the 2022/23 season! The young pearl of Mega received the most votes from coaches, journalists, and fans. He took the prestigious award ahead of Tomislav Ivišić from SC Derby and Tristan Vukčević from Partizan Mozzart Beta. He convincingly won with 60,6 percent of the votes.

In his third season in the Adriatic league, Đurišić was one of the leaders of Marko Barać’s team, which reached the playoffs as sixth-placed, and at only 19 years old, he averaged 13,3 points, 3,7 assists, and three rebounds, for an average PIR of 12,1.

He thus became the fifth Mega player after Nikola Jokić, Goga Bitadze, Filip Petrušev, and Nikola Jović to be named the best young player of the ABA League, and Mega can boast that for the fourth season in a row, they have a player who has received this award.

The title of the best young player of the ABA League is the crown of Đurišić’s career so far. In the 2020/21 season, he was a member of the ideal five of the junior Euroleague tournament. He was also included in the best five last year when he led the juniors of Mega to the European crown, and he was also named MVP. Recently, at the Final Four of the U19 ABA League, he was also part of the ideal team and won the MVP award.
