JUNIORS OF MEGA MIS OVERCAME CRVENA ZVEZDA IN THE FINAL AND WON THE U19 ABA LEAGUE FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE TIME

Mega MIS juniors won the U19 ABA league for the third time in a row, defeating their peers from Crvena Zvezda 94:81 (24:13, 23:25, 22:27, 25:16) in the final of the Final tournament in Laktaši. After a great fight during three quarters, especially in the third when Zvezda’s juniors turned the score around, Dragoljub Avramović’s team broke the resistance of their rivals in the last quarter. They showed mental strength and regained the lead, then gained a double-digit advantage in the middle of the decisive period, which the rival could not compensate for.

Ultimately, Filip Jović was the most valuable player in the final match with 26 points and ten rebounds for a PIR 34.

Andrija Jelavić added 20 points, along with 13 rebounds for a PIR of 30, while Nikola Đurišić also achieved a double-double with 23 points and ten assists. In the end, Timotej Malovec also reached double figures with 20 points.

Đurišić and Jelavić were included in the ideal five of the tournament, and Nikola Đurišić was declared the MVP of the final tournament.

Mega MIS thus confirmed its dominance in the junior age, as it defended the throne in the U19 ABA League for the second time in a row and won the title of regional champion for the fourth time.

This success becomes even more critical when you consider that Mega’s juniors have won 19 times in the junior ABA league since 2019.
