MEGA WELCOMES BUDUCNOST IN SREMSKA MITROVICA, BARAĆ: “WE NEED TO PLAY WITH HIGH INTENSITY AND WITH THE SUPPORT FROM THE STANDS TO GET INTO A SITUATION TO SURPRISE THE RIVALS”

In the 25th round of the ABA League, Mega MIS basketball players welcome Budućnost VOLI. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday from 7:00 p.m. On the occasion of securing the playoffs of the regional competition, Mega decided to reward basketball fans again and will welcome the champion of Montenegro in Sremska Mitrovica and the PSC Pinki hall with free entry. The gates of the hall open from 6:00 p.m.

Coach Marko Barać pointed out that another difficult task awaits his team:

– Buducnost is in an extensive series of victories in the ABA league. They are playing well; they have many players with points in their hands. During the season, they filled the roster with two players with Euroleague experience. We want to play at a high intensity, and we hope that, with a great fight and support from the stands, we can get into a situation to surprise the team from Podgorica,

Barac said.

Andrija Grbović notes that it will be necessary for Mega to play with high concentration and great energy for 40 minutes:

– We have a very important and demanding match ahead of us. We expect a challenging game that we must open with maximum motivation and concentration. An experienced team that knows how to use its strengths, so we must be ready and play with great energy for the entire 40 minutes. We hope that we will have a lot of support from the stands and that, with the help of the fans, we can win and consolidate our position in the standings before the playoffs,

Grbovic said.

After 24 rounds, Mega MIS has a 12-12 score in the ABA league and occupies sixth place in the standings, while Buducnost is third with five more wins and one game less.

The upcoming meeting with Podgorica is the 22nd in the ABA league, and Mega has so far recorded six victories, five on home turf. The last time they were in the playoffs of the ABA League, they met their rivals in Sremska Mitrovica and beat Budućnost 2:0 in the semi-final series.
