U19 MEGA MIS SUFFERS FIRST DEFEAT OF THE SEASON AFTER 36 STRAIGHT WINS IN ALL COMPETITIONS

Just a few days after winning the Euroleague qualifying tournament, the juniors of Mega MIS turned to their duties in the Roda Junior League of Serbia, and in the 21st round they welcomed Borac Mozzart – and suffered their first defeat of the season, 82:86 (27:15, 18:20, 17:17, 11:21). Dragoljub Avramović’s team gained a comfortable advantage in the opening quarter, and kept it until the last 10 minutes, when the rival raised the level of the game, and with a three-pointer in the last minute of the fourth quarter made it to overtime. The juniors of Mega entered the extra five minutes well, tying six points, but Borac responded and turned the game around with an 8:0 run. The match entered the penalty shootout in which the guests were more concentrated, and they got a triumph.

After 36 straight victories since September 1, 20 in the domestic championship, the juniors of Mega MIS felt the bitter taste of defeat for the first time. Despite that, they have everything in their hands and secured first place in the standings before the end.

Bogoljub Marković continued with excellent performances and ended the match with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks for a PIR of 32. Urban Kroflič also achieved a double-double, with 12 points and 10 rebounds, as well as four assists and steals. Luka Savanović added 16 points, while Andrej Mušicki scored 10 points, four assists, and three caught and stolen balls each.

In the last round, the juniors of Mega MIS will host their peers from Partizan.
