MEGA MIS WELCOMES SPLIT IN THE KEY BATTLE FOR THE PLAYOFFS, BARAĆ: “WITH THE APPROPRIATE ENERGY AND FOCUS TO VICTORY”

After the triumph in Čačak over the Borac Mozart team, eighth in the last nine games in ABA League, Mega MIS basketball players welcome Split in the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall in the 23rd round of the regional competition. The meeting of direct competitors in the fight for the playoffs is scheduled for Sunday from noon. Tickets are free and can be collected at the Hall of Sports box office from 11:00 am until the start of the game.

Mega MIS welcomes the match of the 23rd round with an 11-11 score, while Split is at 9-13 but is in excellent shape, having won four of the last six matches in the ABA League, with one of the two defeats suffered against the leader Partizan Mozzart Beta in the final seconds. On the other side, Mega MIS has won eight out of the last nine matches in regional competition.

So, another big challenge is in front of Mega players, and coach Marko Barać is aware of that:

– A very demanding match awaits us. Like us, the Split team is in very good shape and is fighting for a position in the playoffs. It is about a team that plays solid, physical basketball and in whose game many things come from the Mavra – Shorter duo. It is up to us to be maximally prepared and with the appropriate energy and focus on getting into a situation to win,

said Barac.

Luka Cerovina emphasized the importance of the match, taking into account that with a victory, Mega could mathematically secure a place in the playoffs:

– We have a crucial game ahead of us against the Split team, which, like us, is in great shape. This game is probably the most important in the season because we can mathematically secure a place in the playoffs with a suitable victory. I invite all our supporters, and basketball fans, to come to the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall on Sunday from noon to support us in this vital game, and we will do our best to repay them with a good game on the court, and I hope with a victory,

captain Cerovina pointed out.

In the first meeting of these teams in the current season, the people of Split won at home 79:75 and thus gained the advantage in the clashes between themselves. Interestingly, in the five duels played between these teams, only the hosts celebrated.
