MEGA MIS WILL HOST MORNAR ON MONDAY, BARAĆ: “LET’S STOP THEIR OUTSTANDING SHOOTERS AND PLAY WITH GREAT ENERGY AND FOCUS”

After reaching the final of the Radivoje Korać Cup and the national team break that followed, the Mega MIS players continued their fight for the playoffs of the ABA League. In the 20th round, they will host Mornar-Barsko zlato, and the match is scheduled for Monday from 8:00 pm in the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall. Entry is free, and free tickets can be picked up at the Hall of Sports box office from 7:00 pm until the start of the match.

Mega MIS coach Marko Barać points out that his team is facing a difficult task:

– A new challenge awaits us in the ABA league after a long break. After a good result at the Radivoje Korać Cup, many players went to the national teams or were forced to rest due to injuries. Our game depends a lot on the level of training, and it is certain that all this made preparation for the game a bit more difficult for us. Mornar is a team that has been strengthened with five quality players compared to the first game. An experienced coach and a wide roster make them a formidable opponent for everyone. To get into a position to win, we need to stop their outstanding scorers and play with great energy and focus,

Barac said.

After the Cup in Niš, Malcolm Cazalon was with the French national team during the February FIBA window, but he is very motivated to help the team in its desire to reach the playoffs:

– We have a chance to reach the playoffs, so we need a win to raise our confidence before the final part of the season. We know what awaits us against an adamant Mornar team, and we will do everything to continue with good results in the ABA league,

Cazalon pointed out.

Mega MIS welcomes the meeting of the 20th round with an 8-11 performance and five wins in the last six games in the regional championship. On the other hand, Mornar won only two of the past seven matches, and in the previous round, they achieved their sixth triumph (6-12) against MZT.

The upcoming duel will be the 13th between these two teams in the ABA League, and Mega has won seven times so far. In the first part of the current season, Marko Barać’s team was quite convincing in the Topolica hall, as they triumphed with 101:85.
