MEGA MIS LOST TO CIBONA AFTER OVERTIME

After 45 minutes, Mega MIS lost to Cibona in the fourth round of the ABA league 93:100 (23:34, 26:22, 18:18, 24:17, 2:9). Marko Barać’s team was behind for most of the match, but they played they saved the best for the end, took the lead in the crunch time and came to very close to the victory. The guests responded and tied the score in the dying minutes, so the game went overtime. Cibona then took the lead in the extra five minutes and won in the end. After the second game, Mega has a 0-4 performance on its floor, and Cibona registered its second victory (2-2).

In the Mega team, young Andrija Grbović stood out with 17 points and nine rebounds, followed by Nikola Đurišić with 15 points and five assists. Malcolm Cazalon and Ahmaad Rorie added 14 points each, while Dragan Milosavljević scored 11 points. At Cibona, Filip Bundović with 28 points was the best, Ivan Majcunić added 15, and Lovro Mazalin with 14 points.

The guests opened the match with an 8:0, and Mega couldn’t respond, so Cibona had 13:2 after two and a half minutes. After a time-out, Mega responded with 8:2, but the guests stayed in front still and went to the break with a double-digit surplus. At the end of the second quarter, Đurišić and Grbović managed to reduce the deficit to five points, but that was it for Mega before the break.

In the third quarter, Mega fought back, and reduced the deficit to three points but failed to turn the game around. However, in the second half of the fourth period, with 10 points in a row, they finally broke their rivals and took a five-point lead with three minutes to go. It wasn’t enough, though. The game went overtime, and then in an additional five minutes Cibona won.
