JOVIC AND SIMANIC EXCELLENT IN WIN OF SERBIA, MATKOVIC’S DOUBLE-DOUBLE IN CROATIA’S WIN

Today, four basketball players from Mega Mozzart were part of their national selections in the qualifications for the 2023 World Cup, and the most notable were Nikola Jovic and Karlo Matkovic.

Three Mega players played for Serbian national team, which defeated Slovakia on the road with 63:71 on. After the debut of Jovic and Djurisic for the A team in the previous game in Belgrade when Djurisic left a great impression, today one of the most noticed on the field was Nikola Jovic with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Borisa Simanic scored 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block, while Nikola Djurisic had 2 rebounds and 1 assist. It should be noted that Aleksa Uskokovic was in the roster but he didn’t play and that the fitness and conditioning coach of Mega, Marko Sekulić, was also part of the coaching staff of the national team.

After two overtimes, Croatia beat Sweden on the road with 98:105, and Karlo Matkovic, after his debut in the last match, was excellent today with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal and 1 block. Matej Rudan was not on the roster for this match.
