U18 MEGA BEAT NEXT GENERATION TEAM AT THE START OF ANGT QUALIFIERS

Good start of U18 Mega at ANGT qualifiers!

U19 Mega Mozzart started the competition at the “Adidas Next Generation” qualifying tournament of the Junior Euroleague with a victory, as they defeated the “U18 Next Generation Team Belgrade” selection with 68:88 (12:19, 15:20, 28:28, 13:21). Coach Dragoljub Avramovic’s team managed to repel the opponent’s attacks on several occasions, and they resolved the match at the end of the third and the beginning of the fourth quarter, when they separated to a safe advantage and calmly brought the match to an end.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega’s juniors were Asim Djulovic with 23 points, as well as Bogoljub Markovic and Aleksa Milenkovic with 15 points each.

Great team defense of juniors of Mega in the first quarter in which juniors Mega allowed 12 points, and on the wings of Milenkovic reached plus 7. In the second quarter, the opponent approached 2 points behind, but Mega went to halftime with a significant advantage, 27:39 thanks to the run and triples of Dozic and Prokopic. 

The Next Generation team started the third quarter with a series of 13: 0 for a 40:39 lead, but coach Avramović’s team had an express response, so they easily reached the point from a good defense in the counter-attacks. The double-digit advantage was quickly restored, which amounted to 12 points before the last quarter, 55:67. In the last 10 minutes of the game, the winner of this match was not in question, and in the end, Mega reached a convincing victory, 68:88.

On Saturday, U18 Mega is expecting two games, from 10 am against Lietkabelis and from 8 pm against Asvel. The two best placed teams from both groups will meet in the final at 16:30 on Sunday. All matches will be broadcast on TV Arena Sport and the Youtube channel of KK Crvena zvezda.
