MEGA MOZZART CONVINCING AGAINST ZLATIBOR, ON SATURDAY AGAINST CRVENA ZVEZDA

Mega Mozzart with a convincing game to the Cup semifinals!

In the quarterfinals of the “Triglav osiguranje Radivoj Korac Cup”, Mega Mozzart defeated Zlatibor with 84:57 (19:20, 22: 9, 21:18, 22:10). In the match that was played in SC Cair in Nis, the players of coach Vladimir Jovanovic, apart from a slightly slower entry, practically completely controlled the game and the result during the entire course of the match, and in the end they deservedly won convincingly.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega were Borisa Simanic with 15 points and Nikola Kocovic with 11. Dušan Kutlesic stood out in the Zlatibor with 17 points.

Mega Mozzart will play against Crvena zvezda mts in the semifinals of the Radivoj Korac Cup, and the match is scheduled for Saturday, February 19 at 5 pm.

Smith, Ruzhentsev, Jovic, Simanic and Matkovic were in Mega’s starting lineup. Zlatibor starts the game better and gets the first advantage with threes, 5:12. Coach Jovanovic’s time-out immediately showed results, and Mega came up with easy points after a few steals and blocks on the other side. With a run of 10:2, Meg took the lead 15:14, but Zlatibor still went to the first break with an advantage of 19:20.

Mega continued with a good defense in the second quarter, and with the excellent role of Kocovic, they reached an advantage of 32:23. The Zlatibor tried to respond with a mini run of 0:4, but Mega with new blocks and threes on the other side successfully closed the first half with 41:29 after 20 minutes of play.

Mega controlled the game in the third quarter, easily reaching points from all positions, and after a strong dunk of Rudan took lead with 57:40 with three minutes to the end of the quarter. Zlatibor manages to reduce the difference to 12 points, but Cerovina sets the score with a triple from the corner after the third quarter, 62:47.

Mega opens the last quarter with a run of 7:0, goes to 22 points difference and definitely resolves the match. By the end of the game, Mega reached a 30-point advantage and the final result was 84:57.
