MEGA NEW YEAR SHOW

Basketball Club Mega Mozzart marked the imminent end of another more than successful calendar year with a traditional New Year’s game in the Mega Factory hall. The exhibition match, more precisely the trigonal, as in the previous few years, was actually a New Year’s tournament where Mega’s basketball players, WBC Art Basketball players, Mega’s coaches, sponsors and friends of the club were divided into three teams.

It is interesting that the Mega team played in retro jerseys from the 2013/14 season, when Mozzart was also a sponsor of the club. All players in this team wore the jerseys of two former players, Nikola Jokic and Vasilije Micic, who were in 2021 chosen as MVP players of the two strongest leagues in the world – NBA and Euroleague.

As in previous years, Mega’s basketball show was used to promote the club’s new calendar, which all visitors to the hall received as a New Year’s gift, while numerous treats and surprises were provided for the youngest visitors.

In the first game, Mozzart team, led by the unstoppable Avdalovic, who unmistakably shot threes 5-5 (20 points), defeated Art with 52:49, since Art finally missed two shots for extra time.

In the second match, the teams of Mega and Mozzart met, where Mega celebrated with 44:38, while in the decisive duel between Mega and Art there was a draw 47:47, so the team of Mega took the title of winner of Mega’s New Year’s show.

In the breaks between the matches, the traditional competition in shooting threes of mixed pairs was held, where the victory was taken by Zoran Matkovic and the fantastic Nevena Rosić, who was the most precise in both shootings. In the finals, the two of them were better than Dejan Vukosavljevic and Marta Mitrovic, and valuable prizes were provided for the winners by the company Tehnomanija.
