JOVANOVIC: “BESIDE ALL THE PERSONAL PROBLEMS WE HAVE, WE MUST FIND A WAY TO PLAY AGAINST A QUALITY TEAM LIKE BUDUCNOST””

On Sunday, November 7, at 12 o’clock, Mega Mozzart will meet Buducnost VOLI in the 7th round of the ABA League, and due to the known situation after the Covid-19 pandemic and in accordance with the regulations, the match will be played in limited capacity in the Hall of sports Ranko Zeravica with of all health measures. It will not be possible to attend the match without a ticket, and a limited number of them will be able to be picked up at the ticket office of the Hall of sports Ranko Zeravica Sunday from 11 am until the start of the match.

Mega will be extremely weakened in this match as well by the non-playing of three players, Borisa Simanic, Malcolm Cazalon and Matej Rudan, who did not play in the last round against Crvena zvezda either.

Before the duel against Buducnost, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic stated that his players will have to give more than the maximum in order to play a good game:

– This is a strong team that is filled in all positions. In the ABA league, they are among the most experienced teams, both in terms of quality, but certainly also in terms of experience, where individual players have been participating in the strongest competitions for many years, both in the region and in Europe. They try to use their advantages in various ways, first of all that “pick and roll” with Cobbs, who is the best player in that and a lot of things depend on him. In addition, they have guards and forwards that can both on the outside through the “pick and roll” from the shot and inside through the “low post” game to make an advantage. At this moment, beside all the personal problems we have and the absence of more players from the roster, we have to find a way to play against a quality team like Buducnost. It won’t be easy at all, but every player on my team will have to do more than the maximum to play a good game,

Mega and Buducnost have met 18 times so far in the regional competition with a score of 13-5 in favor of Buducnost. In the last match between these two teams in the 24th round of last season, Mega lost in Podgorica with 92:79. In the last round of the regional competition, Mega lost away to Crvena zvezda with 92:79, while Buducnost was better than Mornar in Podgorica with 85:69.
