GREAT STRUGGLE AND WIN OF MEGA AGAINST PARTIZAN IN THE QUARTEFINALS OF U19 ABA LEAGUE

U19 Mega Soccerbet started the competition with a victory at the Final tournament of the ABA junior league, which is being held in Cajetina, since they after great struggle defeated Partizan NIS with 87:81 (22:17, 18:20, 19:24, 28:20) in the quarterfinals. Coach Dragoljub Avramovic’s team was seven points behind five minutes before the end, but they made comeback with a series of 18:5 and came to a well-deserved victory.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega’s juniors were Nikola Jovic with 21 points and Mihailo Musikic with 18. Nikola Radovanovic stood out in the Partizan with 22 points.

Juniors of Mega will meet Sloboda from Uzice in the semifinals on Sunday at 6 pm with a live broadcast on TV Arena Sport.

In the first quarter, Mega allowed a lot of offensive rebounds to the Partizan, but they still managed to end that period with an advantage of five points. An even game was seen in the second quarter, and with Kobzystyi’s triple teams went to the break with 40:37 after 20 minutes of play.

 
Mega had plus seven at one point in the third quarter, but they did not manage to significantly separate from the opponent, so Partizan fought back and reached the lead in the finish before the last quarter, 59:61. Partizan led with 69:76 with five minutes until the end, but Mega played great in defense and with large number of offensive rebounds managed to comeback, and Kobzystyi with a key block and an offensive jump  in the very finish of the game secured the victory.
