MEGA IN LJUBLJANA AT THE CLOSURE OF ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL ABA LEAGUE SEASON

On Tuesday, April 27, at 6 pm, Mega Soccerbet will close this season in ABA league with a visit to Ljubljana and game with Cedevita Olimpija within the 26th round of the regional competition. The players of coach Vladimir Jovanovic will close another successful participation in the regional competition in the Arena Stozice, which was the eighth in a row for the Mega.

Before the duel against Cedevita Olimpija, Mega’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic stated that his team will try to use every chance that arises in Ljubljana:

– A very motivated opponent is waiting for us, considering that in the last round they are solving the issue of their entry into the playoffs. Cedevita Olimpija is a team that was made for the highest possible achievements in the ABA league and in the Eurocup. It is certain that they will enter the match with an increased dose of motivation and energy with the desire to finish it in the best way, while waiting for favorable results in other matches. They are certainly among the best attacking teams this season in the ABA, they rely more on the backcourt, which is very high quality, led by Blazic and Perry, as well as on the shot for three points, where five, six players that have very high percentages of shots for three. They have practically the same number of shots for two and three, which is why it is not easy to play against them. I sincerely would like us to come out with an increased dose of motivation and energy and I hope we will do that. We have also had personal problems in recent weeks due to injuries, absences from the roster that we did not manage to compensate in the right way, and for those reasons the result suffered somewhere. I hope for a quality and good match all 40 minutes. We who will go to Ljubljana in a slightly younger team, for all the youth we already have, will try our best to match Cedevita Olimpija in the right way and to use every chance that comes our way,

said Jovanovic.

After 25 rounds of the ABA league, Mega Soccerbet is at the 6th place with a score of 14-11 while Cedevita Olimpija is at the 5th place with 17 wins and 8 losses. In the last match between these two teams in the 13th round of this season, Mega lost in the Hall of Sports Ranko Zeravica with 88:93.

Point Guard of Mega Dayshon “Scoochie” Smith pointed out that it would be great to finish the season in ABA League with win in Ljubljana:

– We’ve been having a rough patch, but still we are practicing hard. As the last game in ABA League arrives we are looking forward to finish the season with a win, especially against a team that is competing for the playoffs,

The match Cedevita Olimpija – Mega Soccerbet will be played on Tuesday, April 27 at 6 pm in Arena Stozice with a live broadcast on TV Arena Sport.
