U18 MEGA SOCCERBET CONVINCING AGAINST CEDEVITA OLIMPIJA AT THE START OF EB ANGT QUALIFIERS

Juniors of BC Mega Soccerbet started the qualifying tournament of the Junior Euroleague in Belgrade with a victory, as they were better than Cedevita Olimpija with 77:97 (18:32, 24:24, 18:23, 17:18) in the game of the 1st round of Group B. Coach Dragoljub Avramovic’s team came to the triumph in the FMP hall in Zeleznik because after a plus 17 in the first quarter, they denied the attack of the Slovenian team, and then kept a convincing victory in the second half.

The most efficient in the ranks of Mega’s juniors were Nikola Jovic with 31 points and Nikola Djurisic and Oleksandr Kobzystyi with 18. Andrija Jelavic stood out in the Cedevita Olimpija with 21 points.

Mega Soccerbet will play two matches on Saturday, the first at 10 am against Lokomotiv Kuban from Russia and the second match at 8 pm against Buducnost VOLI. The first-placed team from Group B will meet the best team from Group A in the finals on Sunday at 8 pm, which includes Crvena zvezda mts, Partizan NIS, Maccabi Tel Aviv and U-BT Cluj.

Mega started the match very well, so they had a 17-point advantage in the first quarter, but the Slovenian team returned to the match with threes. However, at the end of the half, Mega’s counters and threes return a safe advantage with already 21 points for Jovic.

In the second half, Mege’s juniors had an advantage of up to 26 points, so the victory was never in question.
