JOVANOVIC: “THESE GAME MEAN A LOT FOR MY PLAYERS BECAUSE THEY ARE RAPIDLY MATURING THROUGH THEM”

On Saturday, December 12, at 7 pm, Mega Soccerbet will play  against Partizan NIS in the 10th round of the ABA league, this time as a guest in the Hall of sports Ranko Zeravica. Coach Vladimir Jovanovic’s team currently holds the second place in the standings with seven win out of nine games played, and they are expecting the derby against Partizan in a good mood.

Before the duel against Partizan, Mega coach Vladimir Jovanovic pointed out that games like this mean a lot to his players because they are rapidly maturing through them:

– This is a very good team that had a results crisis due to injuries and the absence of very important players. The return of the injured players brought better results, so that after the last game in the Eurocup, they mathematically secured advance to the Top 16 phase. As a very good and experienced coach, Saso managed to consolidate the team in a short time and get the most out of them in most matches. They are certainly not satisfied with the current score in the ABA league, and despite two close defeats in the last two rounds, they will do their best to get back on the winning track. Partizan is a quality team filled with excellent players in all positions and is led by a coach who knows how to get the best out of them. We have to be ready to match their contact game and their bodies first, which will be a precondition for a good match on our part. These are games that mean a lot to my players because they mature quickly through them,

After nine rounds of the ABA league, Mega Soccerbet is currently in second place with a score of 7-2 while Partizan has four wins and five losses. These two teams have met 14 times so far in the regional competition with a score of 12-2 in favor of Partizan. In the last round, Mega celebrated at home against Split with 91:75, while Partizan lost away to Mornar with 77:76.

Before the duel with Partizan, Mega’s Power Forward Marko Simonovic points out that his team will welcome the match with maximum focus and readiness:

– Partizan is certainly in a somewhat unexpected situation. They did not start the season as planned, but they are a very experienced team that has a plan to fight for the trophy. It is a great challenge for us and we are preparing to welcome this match with maximum focus and readiness. It won’t be easy at all, but we are a team that has shown that it can play with everyone, so I believe we will show it on Saturday,
