MEGA WITHOUT ANSWER TO TRIPLES OF PARTIZAN, BLACK AND WHITES CELEBRATED IN THE DERBY OF THE ROUND
Mega Bemax in the derby match of the 6th Round of Superleague in Mega Factory Hall lost to Partizan NIS with 81:90 (19:23, 17:25, 20:15, 25:27). The players of coach Dejan Milojevic had a fall in the game at the end of the second quarter when Partizan reached the double-digit advantage, so they would come closer a bit later but did not manage to threaten the victory of black and whites.
The most effective in the ranks of Mega Bemax was Goga Bitadze with 26 points, who added 15 rebounds and 4 blocks, while Luka Asceric scored 12 points. Vanja Marinkovic with 17 points and Ognjen Jaramaz with 14 points were best in Partizan.
After six rounds of Superleague Mega Bemax is the second with four victories and two defeats, while Partizan has all six victories. The next match Mega Bemax will play on Sunday, May 19th, at 17:00, when they will be visiting Novi Pazar.
Before the start of the match, the audience in the hall welcomed former player of Mega Ognjen Jaramaza with a great applause, to whom president of the Supervisory Board of the club, Aleksandar Seratlic presented a gift from the club.
In the breaks of the game, spectators competed in half-court shots for TV, a gift from company Tehnomanija, but they were not precise, so that in the half-time was held a competition three point shotout.
Dejan Milojević started the match with Carapic, Mokoka, Ilic, Miskovic and Bitadze. Slower start of the match for Mega’s players who were trailing 2:9 after 3 minutes. Mokoka hits three and moves Mega in the attack, but Partizan takes advantage with long range field goals. Bitadze and Miskovic in the finish scored a few points, Mega approached to points 2, and the result after the first 10 minutes is 19:23.
Many missed shots of Mega at the beginning of the second quarter, Paige on the other hand is making his 4th three and Partizan has a plus 9. Atic and Mokoka hit the three, so Bitadze cuts the difference to 3 points, 36:39 with 2 minutes to the end of the half. However, there followed a big fall in Mega’s game that allowed several offensive rebounds to Partizan and Jaramaz hits three in the last second so result after 20 minutes is 36:48.
For the most of the third quarter, Partizan kept lead that reached 16 points. Atic with three pointer and Bitadze from free throws keep Mega, which in the finish with threes of Ilic and Asceric lowered difference to 7 points, 56:63 before the last 10 minutes of the game.
At the beginning of the last quarter Partizan binds three triples, Marjanovic hits one for Mega, so the advantage of the visitors is 16 points, 59:75, so that 2 minutes later there would be a maximum 18 points. Mega in the finish manages to drop the difference to 7 points with minute and half to the end, but did not endanger victory of Partizan for the final 81:90.
